If you've started a business you have likely taken a look at other businesses around you. Some local, some futher away or purely online. Some in the same niche as you, and others not so much.

But what you may also have noticed is that some businesses/business owners, have all the luck while you are left to continue grinding through each day hoping for that lucky break.

The question is, how much of that "luck" really is just down to coincidence in circumstances?

1. Attend Local Events

Attending local business events, industry meetups, and community gatherings can significantly expand your professional network. Just this weekend I was in my local town of Newark who were putting the spotlight on local businesses. This gave me the opportunity to talk to local businesses owners and see how my marketing services could help them to grow their businesses.
